Bio
Dr. Olson has over 40 years of experience at teaching science and art to audiences ranging from pre-school to post-graduate ages. His approach to learning is highly interactive and interdisciplinary, drawing on a wide range of experience to lead effective and engaging learning opportunities. In addition to his primary work as a science teacher and educator, Dr. Olson is an accomplished and prize-winning artist who works primarily in marbles, alabasters and other medium hardness stone, but has an extensive experience working with material as ephemeral as soap bubbles and paper and as permanent as glass, granite, steel and copper. Eric Olson's primary focus as an educator researcher and artist is to extend and enhance conversations about important and meaningful topics at the intersection of society, technology, art, science and humanity.
