Get Involved

Explore opportunities to get involved through a wide variety of student clubs and organizations that provide experience beyond the classroom. Our clubs offer professional development and collaboration with other students, fellow candidates, and department faculty.

Education Club

All candidates (undergraduate and graduate) from every program in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services are encouraged to get involved in the Education Club. Group members cooperatively plan activities that meet your needs, such as informational meetings about program requirements, mock interviews, preparation of interview portfolios and resumes, and social events.

Oswego Technology Education Association

Oswego Technology Education Association (OTEA) provides opportunities for professional development and collaboration between technology education students and faculty. Members assist at the annual Technology Department Fall Conference and recognize leadership with the Clyde Wyant Award. For information, contact Richard Bush or Mark Springston at 315-312-3011.

Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society

If you are a junior, senior, or graduate education major with at least a 3.3 GPA, you will be invited by letter to join Kappa Delta Pi. Throughout the year, group members organize informational meetings about state exams and student teaching issues; book fairs; and other service and social events.
