Generative AI platforms continue to evolve at a rapid pace. In this session, we'll discuss recent AI developments and their implications for higher ed. Topics discussed will include: recent studies of the impact of student AI use in educational settings, the expansion of free AI tool capabilities, agentic AI, new online resources for designing AI-aware assignments, browser extensions designed to answer quiz questions, the disappearence of hallucinated references, and the expansion of multimodal AI capabilities.
