SUNY Oswego Sales Center
The SUNY Oswego Sales Center, housed within the Center for Business Excellence and Transformation (CBET), is the first and only sales center in the entire SUNY system. Launched in Fall 2020, our sales program has quickly become one of the most popular minors on campus — open to students from any major who are interested in sales or simply want to sharpen their communication, persuasion, and other essential soft skills.
Our mission is to prepare students for success in professional sales careers through experiential learning, industry engagement, and career-ready skill development. Students gain real-world experience through role-play competitions, live sales calls, and the annual Sales Triathlon, which brings together corporate partners and top student talent from across the region.
Looking ahead, we plan to build Experiential Sales Labs — dedicated, technology-enabled spaces where students can practice and record sales calls, conduct virtual and in-person client meetings, and receive immediate coaching and feedback. These labs will expand our ability to simulate real-world selling environments and strengthen our ties with industry partners.
Our corporate partnerships provide students with mentorship, internships, and direct hiring opportunities, while giving employers access to a pipeline of highly prepared, motivated sales professionals.
The Sales Center is more than a classroom — it’s where students build confidence, practice their craft, and connect with leaders in the field. With the support of CBET and our industry partners, we’re shaping the next generation of sales talent for Central New York and beyond.
