Dr. Yan Lang earned his Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2022, along with an M.B.A. from the same institution and a B.B.A. in Accounting from Southwestern Adventist University.
Dr. Lang's research focuses on Behavioral Operations Management, utilizing game theory, economic experiments, and data analytics to bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical decision-making. His work examines inventory management, supply chain contracting, organizational behavior, cybersecurity, and healthcare operations. He has published in prestigious journals including Management Science, Journal of Medical Internet Research, and Scientific Reports, with forthcoming articles in Patient Education and Counseling and Review of Behavioral Economics. His research explores critical topics such as AI-powered decision-making, cyber-insurance and ransomware, and the impact of visual cues on supply chain trust.
As an educator, Dr. Lang is committed to creating dynamic, inclusive learning environments that connect classroom knowledge to real-world business applications. He teaches Fundamentals of Management, Production and Operations Management, Project Management, and other business courses. He holds certifications in SAP, Google Data Analytics, Google Project Management, and Google AI Essentials.
