Kara Jones

Kara Jones is currently the Marketing and Outreach Strategy Manager at CenterState CEO’s Tech Garden. The Tech Garden is Central New York’s premier technology incubator that helps create technology-leveraging start-ups, fosters the development of entrepreneurs, and supports the innovation ecosystem throughout the region.

Jones directs and manages all aspects of marketing, branding, and communications for The Tech Garden programming and events including TTG’s Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Model and Road Map, GENIUS NY accelerator, The Clean Tech Center, Hot Spot, TC Growth Fund and Ignition Grants. She also mentors entrepreneurs and helps them with marketing, content, and public relations needs.

Previously, Jones worked as a Public Information Officer for Oswego County Government and Tourism. She is currently the Program Chair for the Central New York Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and a board member at Adapt CNY.

She holds her M.A in Integrated Marketing Communications from Marist College and her B.A. in Public Relations from SUNY Oswego.
