MBA 513 - Managerial Finance
Choopong has a diverse background in finance, engineering, and supply chain management. He earned a Master's degree in Supply Chain and Logistics at the University of Texas at Arlington and later earned an MBA from SUNY Oswego. He holds two professional certifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute and Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management.
With a decade of experience in finance, Choopong has worked in both corporate finance and investment management and currently serves as a Client Portfolio Manager in Wealth Management, where he ensures that clients' portfolios are aligned with their investment objectives and risk tolerance. Before transitioning into wealth management, Choopong held the position of Corporate Financial Analyst in the healthcare and pharmacy sectors. In this role, he analyzed financial data, developed financial models, and prepared comprehensive reports to inform strategic business decisions.
His career also includes experience as a Structural Engineer, where he was responsible for analyzing and designing buildings, particularly schools and healthcare facilities. In addition, he has worked in the supply chain industry, analyzing data to optimize inventory and fleet management.
An advocate of value investing, Choopong enjoys exploring new investment opportunities in his spare time, particularly through stock analysis and research.
