Lisa DuBois

Biography

Lisa DuBois is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Digital Media and Art at SUNY Oswego. With over 25 years of experience in the print and digital media industry, Lisa brings a blend of technical expertise and theoretical knowledge to the classroom.
Before joining the faculty, Lisa worked with print houses, leading manufacturing companies, and non-profits, where she developed brand identity, marketing strategy, and digital communications. She also spent 10 years as an Adjunct Instructor at SUNY Oswego, where she continued to develop the 3D Animation program by teaching Lightwave 3D. This experience informs her teaching approach, which focuses on helping students bridge the gap between creative concepts and real-world execution. 
When not engaged in academic or professional projects, Lisa finds inspiration in music and textile arts. She is an accomplished contralto, guitarist, and violinist with a deep appreciation for all musical genres, especially bluegrass. In addition, she is a passionate practitioner and teacher of needle arts, bringing pattern making and an understanding of diverse cultural techniques into her teaching and design practice, where they provide a parallel focus to the detailed, tactile nature of her work.
