Biography
Julieve Jubin is a photographer based in NYC and Oswego, NY. Since 2011, she has been photographing extensively in Cuba, and more recently in China. She has exhibited her work in the US, Canada, Europe, Cuba, and China. She received her MFA from Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, NY. She has worked at The Cooper Union School of Art, the International Center of Photography, Purdue University, and is currently an Associate Professor of Art at the State University of New York at Oswego.
Research
Within the past 8 years, I've traveled to Cuba and China to both photograph and teach photography workshops and seminars among US, Cuban, and Chinese undergraduate and graduate students. I also have a studio practice with a focus on experimental approaches to photography.
Publications
In 2018, the “Hershey, Cuba” photographic project was published in the international journal, Shanghai Photography.
