Biography
Christopher McEvoy received his MFA in Painting from Boston University. Following graduate school he spent a year as the Starr Scholar at the Royal Academy of Art in London. McEvoy has shown his work in various regional, national and international group and solo exhibitions. Recent solo exhibitions in New York include Some Kind of Nature, Mildred l. Washinton Gallery, Poughkeepsie, NY; New Work at Tyler Art Gallery, Oswego, NY; and Liminal States:Paintings and Mixed Media Works at String Room Gallery, Aurora, NY. His fellowships and artist residencies include Ragdale Foundation, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Vermont Studio Center, and international residencies at Oberfalzer Kunstlerhaus, Schwandorf, Germany, and Le Moulin a Nef, Auvillar, France. McEvoy is currently an Associate Professor of Art and Painting Area Coordinator at the State University of New York at Oswego. He lives and works in Auburn, NY.
