Steering Committee

The WAC Steering Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Assembly. It meets every two to three weeks during the academic year, on Tuesdays at 12:45.

Faculty seats on the committee, filled through an election of FA, include:

  • one representative each from the School of Business, 
  • one representative each from the School of Education, 
  • one representative each from the School of Communications, Media and the Arts, 
  • one representative each from Penfield Library, 
  • one representative each from the College Writing faculty within the Department of English, 
  • two representatives from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences 
  • and one at-large faculty representative. 

The committee also includes one representative of the College's central administration, and the committee is free to appoint up to three at-large members from the college's faculty, students, and staff during any given academic year. 

Ex-officio members include the Writing Across the Curriculum Coordinator, the Director of General Education, the Director of the Center on Excellence in Learning and Teaching, and a representative of the Writing Center.
