Enrolled in Professor Julieve Jubin’s 2016 SUNY Oswego travel photography class, Daniel Seldes captured two average Cuban citizens on the street. By respecting their personal space, he imbued them with a sense of quiet dignity.

From the moment our class arrived at the Havana airport, we were in awe. Anything and everything was beautiful, from the people to the architecture. Every moment was the perfect time for a photo opportunity. During our time there, we were fortunate enough to meet some amazing, hospitable, and talented people. The people of Cuba were just incredible! My photo of the man with the chicken resting on his knee was taken in Trinidad just as I was on my way to rejoin the class and find some lunch.
