Biography

Alexandria Stimpson, Lexy, to her classmates, friends, and family, is a photographer, a part-time painter, and a true friend who resides in South Glens Falls, New York. Alexandria devotes her time between creating beautifully crafted portraiture artwork for her ever-growing audience and spending time living life with as much laughs as possible. Laughing is such a simple act that many of us forget to do, forget to participate in, forget to create, and forget to indulge in. Art is a creation of many things, and laughing can be an aspect of art too.

Lexy has traveled through most of Italy and parts of Germany, supporting her middle brother's dream of one day playing in the MLS (Major League Soccer) for the United States. Throughout her multiple trips to Italy, and her passion for seeing the world grew her fascination with photography. Not only would photography become her passion, hobby, and expression to the world, but it would also let her do what she wanted most in this world to help people. Through perseverance and discipline, obtaining a Criminal Justice: Police Science and Liberal Arts in Social Sciences and Humanities degree would turn her away from becoming a cop. A cop in this day in age is dangerous for anyone but especially dangerous for young females. Instead, she decided to go down a different road. This road, not full of laws and rules, would allow her to break some, legally of course, and create artwork that helped people in a better way. Photography, in many ways, can be therapeutic and an artistic outlet that allows the world around you to disappear. What better way to live a life of luxury if not by living a life full of endless travel, family, and cultural experiences that will forever leave a lasting impression.

Artist Statement

At the end of my life, my words will not speak for me; my artwork and my character will. It is not always the importance of being the best, but the essence of simply capturing the unexpressed. The willingness to bring life to the inner emotions we lock up or shy away from society. The escape through the beauty of so much the world has to offer that is right in front of us that we do not allow ourselves to see. Let my artwork draw you down a path of a beautiful trail that will document my journey to being a person in this fight to create a better tomorrow for generations to come. Allow my photography into your heart. Only then will you understand my legacy that I shall leave in the wake of my path.
