Biography

Alberta Lipinski is a graphic designer from Utica, NY. AT SUNY Oswego, Alberta held a Teacher's Assistant position for Amy Bartell's Digital Media class. She also had a consistent place on the Dean's List due to her academic performance. Her work focuses on animation and digital design. During an internship at SUNY Center for Professional Development and an internship at United Way of Greater Oswego County, Alberta designed work that was used to promote company events. Her goal after college is to work on a marketing team designing work that is both informative and eye-catching.

Artist Statement

My love for art started as a young child when I created work that was showcased at the local museum. That inspired me to join art clubs at each school I attended and later decided to turn my hobby into a career. The pieces in my show are a mix of animation and digital design. My favorite piece is my alien animation. In a way, I feel like the aliens I draw represent my struggle with self-identity. Art is a way to send a message even when you aren't sure what that message might be. I enjoy creating work that challenges people to open their minds.
