Talk Title: Finding Inspiration in Art Among All the Digital Noise

Professor, Director of HCI

Dr. Schofield is Director of Human Computer Interaction (Full Professor) at the State University of New York at Oswego, a role he has held since 2009. He also serves as Adjunct Associate Professor of Forensic Computing at Edith Cowan University in Australia. Previously, he held academic positions at RMIT University in Melbourne and the University of Nottingham, UK. A director of Aims Solutions Ltd., he specializes in computer graphics, virtual reality, and digital evidence. For nearly 20 years, his research has focused on virtual reconstructions in courtrooms, and he frequently serves as an expert witness worldwide, consulting on high-profile cases, including work with the FBI.

Senior at SUNY Oswego, pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration (Data Analytics) and a B.A. in Information Science with a minor in Computer Science. Founder and President of the Data Club; Former President and Current Senior Advisor of the Asian Student Association; Committee Leader of the annual ALANA Multicultural Conference.

Emma Halsey is an active leader in student engagement and academic initiatives at SUNY Oswego, collaborating with organizations such as the Asian Student Association and the ALANA Multicultural Conference to promote discussions on identity, communication, and connection. She is particularly interested in the intersection between independence and community, exploring how balance in the face of extremes can build healthier relationships and personal growth. Her approach blends storytelling with research-informed insight, making complex topics more accessible, thoughtful, and transformative.

Indie Lee is the founder of her namesake skincare company, a clean beauty pioneer, and a three-time brain surgery survivor who has turned her personal journey into a mission to inspire others. Following her first diagnosis, she created a brand that redefined what it means to live well through safe, effective, and sustainable products.
Beyond her entrepreneurial work, Indie is a passionate speaker, writer, and advocate for clean living and autoimmune awareness. Her story blends resilience, vulnerability, and empowerment, reminding audiences that life is not a dress rehearsal. She often speaks about the idea of “wellth,” which she defines as the abundance of health, wellness, and joy. Through her talks and her work, she encourages people to embrace being perfectly imperfect and to create their own path to longevity and fulfillment.

Associate Professor and Department Chair, Marketing and Management Department, College of Business and Entrepreneurship, SUNY Oswego

Sarah Bonzo, Ph.D. is Chair of the Marketing and Management Department and an Associate Professor in the School of Business at the State University of New York at Oswego, where she teaches in the MBA in Healthcare Administration, consistently ranked as New York’s top public online MBA program. She earned her doctorate in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan and previously served as Director of Transformation Management at Rochester Regional Health.
Her teaching and consulting focus on applying the principles of operations management, patient flow, and design thinking in practical ways. Whether working with students, health systems, or corporate partners, Sarah emphasizes application and coaching, helping people see problems more clearly, test solutions quickly, and build the leadership skills needed to create meaningful improvement.

Broadway Performer, Educator, and Advocate

Tamar Greene is a dynamic artist and educator currently playing George Washington in Broadway’s Hamilton. A classically trained pianist and opera singer, Tamar’s artistry spans multiple genres, from classical and jazz to reggae, gospel, and R&B. His career has taken him across the United States and internationally, with performances that celebrate both technical mastery and storytelling.
A first generation American from Rochester, NY, Tamar’s journey from shy child to Broadway stage has been shaped by resilience, teachers who believed in him, and his own willingness to say yes to opportunities that stretched him. Beyond performance, he serves as a clinician and mentor to emerging artists, guiding them to find confidence in their voice and courage in their choices.

Talk Title: Harnessing the Inspiration That Surrounds Us to Address the Global Coral Reef Crisis

Director, Coastal and Marine Sciences, Bio-Tech Consulting, Miami, FL

Dedicated to environmental science from an early age, Bill Precht began working on conservation projects in high school and continued at SUNY Oswego, where a semester at Discovery Bay Marine Lab in Jamaica sparked his passion for tropical marine ecosystems. With graduate training from the University of Miami, he has spent over 30 years researching and restoring coral reefs, seagrass, and mangrove ecosystems. Currently, he is Director of Coastal and Marine Sciences at Bio-Tech Consulting in Miami, teaches at Columbia’s School of Professional Studies, and serves on boards for SCUBAnauts International and Reef Renewal, USA. Bill is also a Fellow of the International Coral Reef Society and author of the Coral Reef Restoration Handbook.
