After Classes Begin

Drop a Course

Students may drop full-semester courses online through September 15 using myOswego. Courses removed during this period will not appear on a transcript. It is the student’s responsibility to drop courses they are no longer attending. For questions about billing or aid implications, consult Student Accounts and Financial Aid.

Withdraw from a Course

September 16–December 5: Course withdrawal is requested in myOswego under the Registration tab. A W grade will appear on the transcript and a $20 fee is added to the semester bill.

Withdraw from the University

Matriculated (degree-seeking) undergraduates who wish to withdraw from the university after the term begins must contact the Dean of Students at 315.312.5483 to make appropriate arrangements for a College Withdrawal. Withdrawals after the posted drop period (see the Academic Calendar) will show a W on the transcript.

Graduate Students & Non-Degree Undergraduates

Graduate students and non-degree undergraduates should use the course drop/withdrawal process in myOswego to drop all registered courses.

Summer Sessions

Drop periods vary by class length but typically run through the first day of class. When a course is dropped during the drop period, no grade appears on the transcript. All students can drop their last course online through the posted drop period.

Winter Sessions

The last day to drop is the day before the session begins. When a course is dropped during the drop period, no grade appears on the transcript. All students can drop their last course online through the posted drop period.
