Dentists (D.D.S. and D.M.D.) diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of the teeth, gums, and mouth as well as educate patients on how to prevent oral disease. They can perform surgical procedures such as implants and extractions, and can improve the patient's appearance through cosmetic procedures.
For more information on becoming a dentist, see the Dentistry section at this link.
