SUNY Upstate

Early Admission DPT (3+3)

This program is only open to current high school seniors. Students must successfully apply to both SUNY Oswego and SUNY Upstate.

The 3+3 Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program requires three years of study (six semesters) at SUNY Oswego and three years of study at SUNY Upstate. Upon successful completion of three years at SUNY Oswego and the first year at Upstate, students will be awarded a BA degree in Biology from SUNY Oswego. Upon successful completion of three years at SUNY Upstate in the Entry-level DPT program, students will be awarded a DPT degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University.

To be considered for the program, high school seniors need to apply to SUNY Upstate in addition to SUNY Oswego. See the admission requirements and application process for the 3+3 DPT program at Upstate. Upstate's 3+3 DPT application opens September 1 and has a deadline date of February 1. SUNY Upstate encourages students considering the 3+3 DPT program to add themselves to their contact list to receive more information about the Physical Therapy program, admissions information and to be notified about events. SUNY Oswego students not accepted into Upstate Medical University's 3+3 program as a high school senior can apply to Upstate's Early Assurance Program for College Sophomores or regular admission during their senior year of college.

Early Admission BS (2+2)

This program is only open to current high school seniors. Students must successfully apply to both SUNY Oswego and SUNY Upstate.

This program promotes the easy transition of qualified students from SUNY Oswego to the upper-division programs in the College of Health Professions at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Students choosing one of these programs will not receive a degree from SUNY Oswego, only a bachelor's degree from SUNY Upstate. Students are free to choose among Oswego's undergraduate programs during their first two years. Programs include:

  • Medical Imaging Sciences/Ultrasound, BS
  • Medical Technology, BS
  • Medical Biotechnology, BS
  • Radiation Therapy, BS
  • Respiratory Therapy, BS

SUNY Upstate 2+2 Early Admission SUNY Oswego Admissions

SUNY Optometry

Early Admission OD (3+4 program)

This program is only open to current high school seniors or students who have just completed their first year at SUNY Oswego.  High school students must successfully apply to both SUNY Oswego and SUNY Optometry.

The 3+4 BS/OD program requires three years of study (six semesters) at SUNY Oswego and four years of study at SUNY Optometry. Upon successful completion of three years at SUNY Oswego and the first year at SUNY Optometry, students will be awarded a BS degree in Chemistry from SUNY Oswego. Upon successful completion of four years at SUNY Optometry students will be awarded an OD degree from SUNY Optometry.

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine 

Early Admission DDS, Early Admission DO, Early Admission PharmD, Early Admission DPM

These programs are open to high school seniors and SUNY Oswego students in their first two years of studies. High school seniors must successfully apply to both SUNY Oswego and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM).

These programs allow qualified students a provisional early acceptance to LECOM's College of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), School of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), School of Dental Medicine (D.D.S.), or School of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.).

LECOM Admissions SUNY Oswego Admissions

American University of Antigua College of Medicine 

MD admission

This program is open to current Oswego students and allows for admission into the University of Antigua's (AUA) M.D. program. Students are guaranteed admission to AUA as long as they have a 3.0 at the time of graduation and meet AUA's admission requirements. While admission is guaranteed subject to the above conditions, applicants must still submit applications for admission. Accepted students will be eligible for a $5,000 Preferred College Partner Grant, as well as other AUA scholarships and awards.

SUNY Oswego is capped at 5 grants per AUA class (for a total of 10 per academic year), awarded to the first 5 students per AUA class who are accepted into and enroll into AUA’s M.D. program.
