Barbara Hildreth-Bridgers has been adjunct instructor of Flute at SUNY Oswego since 2016. She has a Master’s degree in Flute Performance from Manhattan School of Music, New York, New York and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York. Her teachers include John Barcellona, Thomas Nyfenger, Harold Bennett, Bernard Goldberg, Julius Baker and John Oberbrunner. Mrs. Hildreth-Bridgers has been the conductor of the Central New York Flute Choir since 1989. This choir performs in the Central New York area. The choir has premiered several pieces by their resident arranger, Brad Bridgers and other composers both nationally and internationally. Most recently, the choir premiered a work for Contrabass Flute and Flute Choir by Jelle Hogenjuis and Proch Music by Diane Jones. The SUNY Oswego Flute Ensemble has given performances at several student convocations and large ensemble concerts.
