Christopher Hromalik's CV
Biography
Christopher Hromalik is Assistant Professor of Spanish and Distance Learning Instruction and Design at the State University of New York at Oswego. Prior to joining SUNY Oswego, he was Professor of Spanish at Onondaga Community College, where he taught Spanish courses at the novice and intermediate levels.
Dr. Hromalik is also the Project Manager of the Universal Design for Learning at SUNY project, funded by the Enhancing Supports and Services for Students with Disabilities for Postsecondary Success from the Office of University Life at SUNY System Administration. This project seeks to create a more inclusive educational experience across the SUNY system by providing Universal Design for Learning professional development to SUNY faculty and instructional designers.
Dr. Hromalik’s research is focused on the role of self-regulated learning in the language learning process, with a focus on students studying a language online. He also studies the impact of Universal Design for Learning instruction on faculty practice and student learning outcomes. In
addition to his own research, he also serves as a methodologist for researchers at other institutions, specializing in the application of advanced statistical analysis techniques to research in applied linguistics and education.
