Beatriz Salcedo-Strumpf is a full time professor in Spanish at the State University of New York at Oswego for the past twenty one years. She has taught a great variety of courses: from beginning Spanish courses, to high level courses of Spanish such as Civilization and History from Spain, Latin American Literature and courses about feminism and Mexican Women Literature.
She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2007 at Syracuse University.
She is a member of the Literary Round Table in Guadalajara, Mexico. In the Literary Round Table, she has published thirteen short stories in the different anthologies that have been published through ten years in the Literary Round Table
Beatriz published a novel in Spanish, Correo Electrónico para Amantes in 2000. The English version, Email for Lovers a translation for Hanya Brayman and published in 2002. She also has published a variety of short stories in literary magazines. She is presently working on a collection of short stories.
