Books & other physical materials
Emeriti faculty have most of the same privileges as current faculty, in terms of books and physical materials. The only difference is that emeriti faculty cannot check out laptops or other equipment. This page has information about loan periods and limits on how many items you can check out.
Databases & online resources
Emeriti with a continuing SUNY Oswego affiliation as a current researcher
Emeriti faculty in this category may be able to access select online databases remotely. We reserve the right to restrict access to resources such as those with limited simultaneous accounts, purchase-on-demand resources, etc. Requests for database access should be made in writing to our Electronic Resources & Systems librarian ([email protected]).
All other emeriti
All other emeriti users can access databases on-campus, but will not be able to access databases off-campus due to vendor licensing restrictions.
However, there are a number of databases that New York state residents can access for free!
Archives & Special Collections
The Oswegonian, old yearbooks, and other university publications are available online.
Historical images, works by SUNY Oswego authors, and more are available in OswegoDL.
Please contact or visit Archives & Special Collections if:
- You have papers or other projects you would like to donate to the University Archives
- You have questions about, or are interested in, other sources from Archives & Special Collections
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan services are available to emeriti faculty, using a system called ILLiad. Please login below to complete your requests.
Share your scholarly work
We recognize current faculty, emeriti faculty, and current staff for their scholarly contributions at our annual Display to Archives celebration. Please visit our Display to Archives page for more information on deadlines and how to submit.
