Application and Registration Selection Instructions 2026-27
Visit the SUNY Oswego application portal to start your application. Returning students, see instructions below.
New students
- Click on: Create an Account
- Use an email address that is not controlled by a firewall that you cannot bypass, i.e. use a personal email address (icloud emails have very strong filters, use something else).
- Enter the requested information, First, Last Name and your birthdate
- You will receive a temporary PIN to your email
- Check your personal email on your cell phone
- Enter it and the birthdate again, then set a new password following the criteria suggested.
- Please write down your SUNY Oswego information. Best email it to yourself with the subject header SUNY Oswego login details. You will need it again.
- Click on Start an Application
- Select 2026-2027 High School Programs Application
- Click Open 2026-2027 High School Programs Application
- Click on Start a New Application (and wait a moment)
Now your name appears in the top right and the application is ready for you to proceed:
- Enter your legal Name
- Enter your Mobile Phone (required) and Home phone numbers
- Click on Add Address
- Address select Permanent
- Enter a street Number & Name
- Enter a City
- Enter NY
- Enter Postal/Zip code
- Status Active
- Enter Save
- Enter Citizenship Country
- Top one is United States (Ignore Secondary Citizenship Country unless you think it is needed -speak to HSPM)
- Enter your SSN - this is required for United States citizens
- Enter biographical information
- Enter your birth date
- Select your gender at birth
- Select Gender identity if you want
- Select Pronouns of you want
- Ethnic Information is voluntary answer or decline the choices
- Hit Continue Button
- Next Page scroll down
- Enter current high school
- Select your school from the choices
- Select if you are a Junior or Senior (if you are a sophomore, stop. You need to contact the HSPM to go through a waiver)
- Classes
- Choices for the course(s) you can take at your school are displayed.
- Please select all you want to register for this year. You can also already choose your spring classes.
- Select when you want to take classes, if fall & spring select the top choice
- Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 (Full Year)
- Spring 2026 only
- Select yes, if you are in New Vision Oswego County at SUNY Oswego (otherwise it is No).
- Click the check box for each class you want to take. (if you exceed four classes, i.e. 12 credits, you must inform HSPC to expand the permitted credit hours)
- All fall and full-year courses must have been added before October 8th the online registration deadline for fall. Classes offered in spring will have another registration period if you cannot decide now.
- Please add a parent (or guardian) and their email address & phone # so we can share information with them. If you want them to see more details so that they can pay your bill you must download the FERPA Release form. Sign and email it back to the HSPM.

- Type your name to sign the application
- Hit Continue
- If an error is detected, it will show which section has an issue
- Click on that section
- Make the correction and hit Continue again
- If all is corrected
- Hit Submit application
Your Status will tell you if you successfully submitted the application.
Now you have to wait a while, but we will be sending you an email regarding your registration and later instructions on how to pay.
We register you for the classes you selected before October 8, 2026. The portal closes at 4 p.m. There will be late appeal paperwork after 10.6.2026.
If you started an application but had to save it, or you are a second year student, click on Returning Student.
Returning students
- Use the email address you used last and the password you created and click LOGIN.
- If you forgot which email you used, or you forgot your password, please reset it or email [email protected] for advice.
- Once you can log in start the 2026-2027 High School Programs Application
- Complete the application following the above steps and
- Submit it fully (most of your information is already there. If you moved or changed your phone number please correct the information).
