Danielle Aldea Hodgins

Bio

Danielle Aldea Hodgins (she/her) is an artist, designer and educator working in many media and creative outlets. She has enjoyed a full freelance career as a costume designer, scenic designer, visual artist and muralist. 

Danielle is most passionate about sustainable fashion, costume history, abstract painting and fabric dying. She holds a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cornell University, a BFA in Set and Costume Design from Syracuse University, and an MA in Arts Leadership and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts with a focus in costume and textiles from the University of Houston. Danielle has collaborated with many arts organizations including Mainstreet Theater, Houston Arts Alliance, Mildreds Umbrella, HUE Mural Fest, A.D. Players Theatre, STAGES, Magpies & Peacocks, River Oaks Chamber Orchestra, Syracuse Stage, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Dance Theatre, Syracuse Community Choir, Open Hand Puppet Theater, Cornell University and Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County. Through her many projects and creative work, Danielle looks to celebrate diversity and connect communities through the arts.
