Bio

Dr. Ogwo is a renowned professor and chair of the Department of Career & Technical Educator Preparation. With over 33 years of academic and consultancy experience, he has played a pivotal role in workforce development and education programs across the globe. Prior to his current appointment, Dr. Ogwo served as an Adjunct Visiting Scholar at Pennsylvania State University and held a professorship at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. 

He has co-authored and edited six books on various topics, including metalwork technology, teacher education, curriculum development and educational technology. Additionally, he has published over 80 papers in renowned journals and presented at numerous international conferences and workshops. 

As a consultant, Dr. Ogwo has extensive experience in workforce program design, development, and implementation. He has managed several international projects aimed at introducing sustainable educational and training innovations. His expertise lies in designing, developing and implementing customizable training programs for workforce development in various occupational areas, including the defense and aerospace industries. Dr. Ogwo's passion as a consultant is to leverage his expertise and knowledge in developing technically and attitudinally relevant programs for the 21st-century workforce. 

While at SUNY Oswego, he facilitated a World Bank-sponsored training program for technical teachers and researchers in Nigeria and articulated USAID development/training program proposals for the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has also worked as a UNDP consultant to develop the National Vocational Training Policy for South Sudan. Dr. Ogwo has collaborated with numerous development agencies, including the World Bank, UNESCO, UNICEF, International Labour Organization, HP, African Development Bank, African Technology Policy Studies Network and Tertiary Education Trust Fund. His international consultancy activities span across several countries, including Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Germany, France, India, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, United Kingdom and the United States of America.
