Bio
Dr. Glidden received her Ph.D. from the University of Washington at Seattle. She teaches courses on area studies (Africa, Latin America, Middle East), development and environmental politics. She teaches several courses with travel abroad to Cuba, Ecuador, South Korea and Turkey. Professor Glidden is the Program Director for SUNY Oswego's Global and International Studies program and coordinates the Sustainability Studies Minor. She is currently the director of the university's new Great Lakes Institute as well as OUTSTEPS, an interdisciplinary network of scholars and practitioners studying sustainability and resilience in the lower Great Lakes region.
