Mustafa Ayad received the Ph.D. degree in Department of Electric and Computer Engineering from the University of Denver in 2013. He received the M. S. from Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University Putra Malaysia, 2002 and the B.S. from Department of computer Engineering, Tripoli University Libya, 1993.

Dr. Ayad is currently an Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego, Oswego, NY, USA. He worked as a lecturer at Al Zawia University, Tripoli-Libya from 2003 until 2008, his role was to teach and supervise Electrical and Computer Engineering students. He worked as a research assistant in the Advanced Mechatronics Lab (AML), Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Denver from 2011 to 2013. He joined Purdue University, ECET, as a Post-Doc and Research Scientist in November 2013-July 2018. His role was researching, teaching and assisting to supervise students in the Collaborative Robotic Laboratory (Polytech).
