Michael Manno is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the State University of New York at Oswego. He retired from the Air Force Research Laboratory in 2025 after 26 years. At AFRL he conducted in-house research, managed large contractual research and development efforts, and worked with several Government agencies. Mike has contributed to innovation events and commercialization academies for transitioning technology to new businesses, and successfully transferred prototyped software to businesses for commercialization. His research interests include Biometric Security, Data Extraction (PAI), Modeling, GUI development, Web Development, Databases, Applied Research / Tech Transition. 

He is also the Founder of Merika Technology, a software business, delivering a video delivery content solution for live events such as the PGA tour, Auto Racing, Track Meets, and more, to display scoring, video, advertisements, and live messages, to large audiences, with a custom developed software application called Playlist Editor. 

In addition to research and small business, Mike also works as a stagehand at the Turning Stone Resort Casino.
