Deborah is a 1984 graduate of Altmar-Parish-Williamstown High School, where she earned a Regents Diploma in Business, and a 1985 graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business Institute, earning a Diploma in Legal Secretarial Studies.

Deborah began her career at SUNY Oswego in 1993 in a part-time temporary position with the Center for Teaching and Innovation (now the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching, CELT). In 1995, she accepted a permanent position with the Curriculum and Instruction Department. Over more than 30 years at SUNY Oswego, Deborah has served in a variety of academic and administrative roles across campus. Her most recent permanent position was shared between the Electrical and Computer Engineering and Physics Departments before retiring in October 2024.

Following her retirement, Deborah returned to SUNY Oswego in a temporary administrative role with the Computer Science Department, continuing her commitment to supporting the campus community.

Outside of work, Deborah is an avid genealogist with more than 30 years of research experience. Her extensive family history research has revealed that her ancestry is deeply intertwined with American history, with roots tracing back to passengers of the Mayflower.
