Print Planning

First Check the Print Portal

SUNY Oswego maintains a convenient print portal in partnership with Dupli Printing which makes printing common projects quick and easy. Where possible, the portal is the preferred method to print projects under $2,500. The portal offers custom printing for: 8.5x11 flyers, 11x17 posters, postcards, 24x36 easel posters as well as branded items such as business cards, stationery and more.

Have a Larger Print Project?

Larger projects may require competitive estimates. Below is a list of frequently used printers in the Oswego and Syracuse areas for your convenience. Please note that this list isn’t exhaustive, and faculty and staff may explore other options, following Purchasing Department guidelines.

Project Details

Before contacting a print vendor for an estimate, be ready with:

  • Quantity: How many finished pieces?
  • Size: Final dimensions (width × height in inches)?
  • Material: What type of paper or substrate?
  • Color: Color or black & white?
  • Sides: Single- or double-sided printing?
  • Booklets: Total page count (including cover)?
  • Finishing: Any folding, cutting, binding, or special finishes (lamination, varnish, spot UV)?
  • Artwork: Do you have print-ready files, or need prepress help?
  • Deadline: When do you need the project in-hand?
  • Mailing: Are mailing services required?
  • Delivery: Where and when should it be delivered?
