The Student Association (SA) is SUNY Oswego’s nonprofit student government, representing the voice of the student body.
We manage a $1.5 million budget to support clubs and organizations, partner with campus departments and external groups, and fund services that enhance student life. Examples include the WTOP student television station, the Centro bus to Syracuse, and programs run by the Student Association Programming Board (SAPB). The SA meets every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center (MCC).

Services Provided by SA
Legal Consultation
Students may schedule a meeting with a professional lawyer for guidance on navigating a variety of legal issues. Some common services include contract reviews, lease agreements, general advice, and more. Consultation comes at no charge to the student.
Our lawyer has office hours throughout the academic year. For the 2026-2027 year, office hours will be held on Thursdays from 12:30pm – 2:30pm in The Point/MCC 131. Phone consultations and/or email correspondence are available to students should they be unable to attend said office hours.
Off-Campus Transportation
The Association has partnered with Centro to offer fare-free transportation to university students displaying a valid identification card on Centro’s Oswego City routes. In addition, a reduced one-way fare for properly identified students is available on Centro’s #246 route which operates between the university and the City of Syracuse.
Valid identification includes a current student ID card with a valid Centro sticker. Stickers can be picked up at the MCC Box Office.
Fitness and Well-Being
A portion of the student activity fee is allocated to the Department of Campus Recreation to support its efforts in promoting student health, wellness, and quality of life. These funds contribute to the maintenance and development of indoor and outdoor facilities, recreational programming, intramural sports, and other wellness initiatives.
