Compass Reception Staff (Work Study)

This student position in SOFE runs the entire academic year, with tasks ranging depending on the season. Responsibilities include:

  • Customer service in-person, on the phone, and through email communication.
  • Program preparations for Orientation, as well as SOFE programming.
  • Ensuring the face of SOFE & The Compass is welcoming and supportive of all Lakers who seek our assistance.

Laker Leaders

 Running from June - August, this Summer Staff position serves as a campus ambassador in aiding Lakers in their transition to SUNY Oswego. Their responsibilities include: 

  • Provide customer service and support to the Orientation programs both at the SUNY Oswego campus, and Downstate
  • Lead small group sessions of 12-20 students
  • And More!
