Using MyOswego

Activating your myOswego account will allow you to register for classes, pay your bill, and access other student services. This process is for new, non-degree, undergraduate students who have not previously attended or applied to SUNY Oswego. You’ll need your Social Security number to complete the activation process. Start by logging in below.

Activate Account

High School Students

If you're still in high school and want to take classes at SUNY Oswego, please contact our Admissions Office at 315.312.2250 or email [email protected].

Continuing Education

If you’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree and want to take additional courses at the undergraduate or graduate level, you’ll need to apply online through our Graduate Office before registering.

International Students

International students without a Social Security number should register using the International Student myOswego Account Form.

Need Help?

If you run into problems call the Registrar’s Office at 315.312.2136 or email us at [email protected].

LakerNet ID

A Laker NetID provides an email address and access to various campus network services. Students can activate their ID by visiting Laker NetID Activation. Once activated, an account may be used to login to our online registration system, myOswego, instead of using your Student ID.

The Laker NetID also allows access to other systems and services, including:

  • Brightspace (needed for online courses)
  • Library
  • Computer labs
  • Parking
  • Other campus network services

Registrar staff cannot see, update, or reset Laker NetID information. Passwords are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as created. If you experience problems logging in with your Laker NetID, call the CTS Help Desk at 315.312.3456.

Newly admitted undergraduate students should contact Admissions at 315.312.2250 for login assistance.

For Alumni

Alumni who do not have a Laker NetID will continue to use the campus ID and personal identification number (PIN) to log on to myOswego.

If you forget your PIN, you have two options:

  • Come in person with a valid picture ID to the Registrar's Office, 301 Culkin Hall.
  • Call the Registrar's Office at 315.312.2136 and answer your "PIN Hint Question."

Enrollment Verification

Sometimes insurance companies, scholarship providers, lenders, or other third parties will ask you for proof that you’re currently enrolled at SUNY Oswego. This is called an enrollment verification.

Official enrollment verifications are provided through the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC). You can access them for free through myOswego. A small fee may apply if you use the NSC website directly at studentclearinghouse.org. If you need to verify grades, order a transcript from the Transcripts page.

When Is Verification Available?

  • Advanced Registration certificates are available before classes begin for Fall and Spring.
  • Official enrollment data is submitted to NSC on the first day of classes each term.
  • Your schedule updates (like adding or dropping classes) will be reflected in periodic updates throughout the semester.

If you are a newly admitted student who hasn’t started classes yet, please contact the Admissions Office for verification at [email protected] or call 315.312.2250.
