Michelle began her tenure as the Assistant Vice President for Academic Support in August 2023. She is responsible for providing leadership and support to the Advisement Center, The Office of Experiential Learning, The Office of Learning Services (OLS), The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), and TRIO Student Support Services (SSS).  

She began her service at SUNY Oswego in 2001 as the Coordinator of First Year Programs championing our student transition and retention initiatives. She began serving as the Director of our office of Experiential Learning in 2017, where she was known for her collaborative spirit and dedication to providing students with quality experiential learning opportunities.

Bandla is a proud alumna of SUNY Oswego’s Psychology Honors Program and earned her MSW from Springfield College.  She has been recognized nationally as an Outstanding First Year Student Advocate and locally, by receiving both the President’s Award and Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
