Michelle Bandla began her tenure as the Assistant Vice President for Academic Support in August 2023. She is responsible for providing leadership and support to the Advisement Center, EXCEL: Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning, OLS: Office of Learning Services and EOP: Educational Opportunity Program.
She began her service at SUNY Oswego in 2001 as the Coordinator of First Year Programs championing our student transition and retention initiatives. She began serving as the Director of EXCEL: Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning in 2017, where she was known for her collaborative spirit and dedication to providing students with quality experiential learning opportunities.
Bandla is a proud alumna of SUNY Oswego’s Psychology Honors Program and earned her MSW from Springfield College. She has been recognized nationally as an Outstanding First Year Student Advocate and locally, by receiving both the President’s Award and Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service.
