Darlene Baker

Darlene has served as a College Council Member State University of New York at Oswego since 2008. She was formerly the Secretary of the Association of College Council and Trustees (“ACT”), the organization which comprises the membership of the SUNY and Community College Campus members.

In Darlene’s various leadership roles, at the 99th Convention of the Department of New York VFW Auxiliary, she was duly elected and installed as the Department of New York President for the 2024-2025 membership year. Other experiences for the Department of New York VFW Auxiliary include Youth, Legislative, Veterans & Family Support and Scholarship Chairmanships. In addition to the VFW Auxiliary, she has served on the Central NY PTA as Legislative Chairman, Central Square School District Technology Committee, Shared Decision- Making Committee, and served as the Central Square PTA Council. We still support the high school boys lacrosse and soccer boosters with scholarships in our son’s name, Dominick Baker, who is deceased.

In Darlene’s current employment, she is a Client Contract and Relationship Specialist, supporting the Regulatory Practice Group and two affiliate companies handling lobbying and client contract compliance and renewable energy; compliance with outside counsel guidelines, event coordination and work with General Counsel on various issues. Darlene is currently serving as a member of our law firm’s Diversity Leadership Team for our Syracuse Office.
