SUNY Oswego, TC3 sign several new transfer agreements

SUNY Oswego and Tompkins Cortland Community College (TC3) announced a series of new transfer agreements that will provide TC3 graduates a direct transfer pathway into bachelor’s degree programs at SUNY Oswego.
The agreements were signed by TC3 President Amy Kremenek, SUNY Oswego President Peter O. Nwosu, TC3 Provost Aaron Tolbert, and SUNY Oswego Provost Kate Pechenkina at a Sept. 9 ceremony on the Dryden campus.
Eligible programs at TC3 are accounting, biology, business administration, computer science, criminal justice, human services and psychology. Discussions about further partnerships to enhance this collaboration are ongoing.
“I am so pleased to strengthen our existing connection with TC3,” President Nwosu said. “Transfers are an important part of the Laker community: One in three of our students come here from another institution, and we want to do whatever we can to make the process as smooth as possible. I am so grateful to President Kremenek and Provost Tolbert for their willingness to partner for the benefit of our students.”

With eight new transfer agreements with SUNY Oswego, TC3 provides a direct pathway to a top institution in our region,” President Kremenek said. “We know President Nwosu and SUNY Oswego are aligned with TC3's commitment to student success and that TC3 graduates will be well-supported by SUNY Oswego in their goal to earn a bachelor’s degree that leads to a high-quality, regionally relevant career.”
The two institutions signed eight agreements that guarantee TC3 graduates of eligible programs with GPA of 2.3 or better can transfer directly into bachelor’s degree programs at SUNY Oswego. All transfer to parallel programs at SUNY Oswego, with graduates of TC3’s human services program having the option of transferring into one of two different programs at Oswego.
