Congratulations to SUNY Oswego's Pluralism Fellows

Congratulations to the six students, faculty, and staff members selected to serve as Pluralism Fellows during the spring and fall 2026 semesters. The fellows are:

  • Hawo Hassan, Politics
  • Janelle Williams, Creative Writing / Cinema and Screen Studies
  • Allison Ayotte, Office of Learning Services
  • Kimberly Fuqua, Dean of Students Office
  • Jason Zenor, Communication Studies
  • Joanna Goplen, Interdisciplinary Studies / Gender and Women’s Studies

Pluralism involves engaging in constructive conversations across differences by respecting, relating to, and cooperating with individuals who hold diverse perspectives. SUNY Oswego is committed to fostering a community in which a wide range of ideas, beliefs and backgrounds can thrive. To support this commitment, Pluralism Fellows will work to embed these principles throughout the university’s academic, administrative, and engagement spaces.
