English Proficiency Requirements

Non-native speakers of English applying for admission to SUNY Oswego at the undergraduate level must submit proof of their English language proficiency for consideration by the college's Office of Admissions.

SUNY Oswego only accepts English proficiency scores that were taken within two years of the submission date. The table below contains a list of proficiency scores and programs currently considered. If your program is not found on this list, please note that other English proficiency exams may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Exemptions are possible under certain circumstances.
