Institute for Global Engagement

The Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) promotes campus cultural activities and scholarly programs that broaden students' global outlook, including those designed to enhance international students' sense of belonging at SUNY Oswego.

Towards this purpose, IGE welcomes ideas for interdepartmental and interdisciplinary collaborations, encourages scholarly and creative activities focused on global engagement, promotes opportunities for professional development and continuous learning, seeks funding for initiatives, and recognizes excellence and efforts towards creating a better world.

How to Get Involved

Membership in the Institute includes anyone contributing to internationalization at SUNY Oswego through related programs, committees, or other projects. If you’re interested in joining IGE or would like to otherwise get involved, please contact Joshua McKeown, Associate Provost for International Education and Programs and IGE Director. Faculty and staff can also sign up during the annual call for joining standing committees.
