Information Science

Information science is a unique multidisciplinary program combining a strong technical component with awareness of the human aspects of information systems.

Students must complete the first 39 hours of coursework in information science, computer science, or statistics. Then, students develop a learning agreement working with a faculty member. Consisting of mostly upper-division coursework, it is designed to provide a firm grounding in a particular application area within the framework of information science.

The program is administered by a multidisciplinary committee whose membership includes faculty from psychology, communications studies, information science, computer science, business administration and Penfield Library.
