Biography
Michael Murphy is Associate Professor, director of the department's College Writing program, and the coordinator of the college's Writing Across the Curriculum program. He teaches academic writing, opinion writing, and a grammar course for teachers in training. He has published in Journal of Advanced Composition, College Composition and Communication, Pedagogy, and the Chronicle of Higher Education, with particular interests in academic labor, civic discourse, and critical theory. He also serves as president of the SUNY Council on Writing.
