My name is Dr. Christina Seado Vasquez and I am the Director for CSTEP at SUNY Oswego. I have had the privilege to serve as Director since 2020. I began my educational journey by earning my B.S. in Biology from University of Tampa. I went on to earn an M.A. in Business Communications from Jones International University and an EdD in Organizational Leadership in Higher Education from Grand Canyon University. I have worked in higher education since 2008 in a variety of roles, all in which I have directly served and taught students.
In my role as Director of CSTEP, I am committed to the mission of supporting diverse student community success. I help with ensuring that much needed support is in place, as well as seeking opportunities for students to support themselves. I am available to assist students with a multitude of questions ranging from academic issues to personal. I may not have all the answers but I can help to find the people that can help! On campus you will likely find me in my office with several students crammed onto my small sofa or in the classroom making jokes that no one else thinks are amusing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, and terrible movies. I live with my husband, two sons, and our old grumpy dog Stanley.
