Kimmy Kimball is a higher education marketing and communications leader currently serving as Associate Director of Marketing and Communications at SUNY Oswego. With deep expertise in strategic marketing, project management and integrated communications, she plays a central role in shaping the university’s brand, strengthening engagement and leading high-impact campaigns that support institutional goals.

With experience spanning SUNY Oswego, Syracuse University, Cazenovia College and SUNY Morrisville, Kimmy has built a strong foundation in content strategy, social media, enrollment marketing and digital storytelling. Her work is grounded in data-informed decision-making and creative storytelling, helping institutions connect authentically with prospective students, current students, alumni and community audiences.

In her current role, Kimmy leads strategic communications and marketing initiatives across platforms, overseeing content strategy, social media and project management workflows. She develops and executes campaigns that support student recruitment, retention and brand visibility while ensuring alignment with SUNY Oswego’s long-term strategic priorities. Through cross-campus collaboration, she brings clarity, consistency and momentum to complex marketing efforts.

A lifelong learner, Kimmy holds an undergraduate degree from Cazenovia College and graduate degrees from Grand Canyon University and Syracuse University. She is passionate about innovation in higher education marketing and continuously seeks new ways to elevate storytelling, strengthen processes and drive meaningful engagement.

Outside of work, Kimmy is an active community member who volunteers with youth sports organizations, coaches Little League and participates in local softball leagues. She enjoys outdoor adventures, traveling with her family and even taking part in sled dog team activities.
