Clone of Transportation

Whether you are heading to class on campus, making a trip to downtown Oswego, or traveling home for breaks, there are plenty of options to get you where you need to go.

SUNY Oswego partners with Centro to make campus and local transportation safe and easy. By showing a valid SUNY Oswego ID and sticker, you can access campus and city routes for free, and travel to Syracuse for a reduced rate! We also offer multiple travel services to help you get home during break so you can rest and relax.

Free Campus Shuttle

SUNY Oswego offers students a free campus shuttle with continuous loop service. Sponsored by Auxiliary Services, supported by the transportation fee.

  • The Blue Route makes stops at Marano Campus Center, the corner or Rudolph Road and Centennial Drive (across from Waterbury Hall), new campus, and the Village townhouses.
  • The Green Route makes stops at Marano Campus Center, the Romney parking lot (Commuter Lot 7), Laker Hall, and Rice Creek.

City of Oswego Transit Service

Local city transit service through Centro is also free to all students who have the Student Association sticker on their valid Oswego student ID. SA stickers can be paid for and picked up at the Check Cashing window of the Marano Campus Center Box Office during operating hours.

In addition to buses, Uber and Lyft ride sharing services are also available.

Coming to Oswego

If you're traveling long-distance to SUNY Oswego without a vehicle, your best route is to travel into Syracuse first. Fly into Syracuse Hancock International Airport, or take Amtrak or an intercity bus into the Syracuse Regional Transportation Center (RTC), before taking local transit or a shuttle for the final stretch to campus.

Arriving by Plane

The Syracuse Hancock International Airport is the closest airport to Oswego. Centro buses to Oswego do NOT service the airport. Although there is cab service, it is very expensive all the way to Oswego.

Another option after arriving at Hancock International is to take a cab 7 miles to the Regional Transportation Center (RTC) then take a Centro bus to campus (see Centro information in the By Bus or Train section below).
