One City. One Campus. One Community

The One City. One Campus. One Community. photo-essay project is an inaugural effort of the Campus-City Relations Committee (CCRC). This project features a series of photos and short essays that explore and celebrate the vital partnerships that exist between the Oswego community and the university.

The work of the series has been led by SUNY Oswego Visiting Assistant Professor Peter Cardone’s intermediate photo class in partnership with student members of the SUNY Oswego chapter of the International English Honor Society, advised by Associate Professor of English Douglas Guerra. Showcasing 10 sites, photography students have produced portraits of SUNY Oswego students at their internship or work sites. Members of the Sigma Tau Delta have written essays that tell the story behind the City of Oswego / SUNY Oswego partnership and the impact on the greater community.

Special thanks to the members of the Campus-City Relations Committee, including CCRC Chair Kendra Cadogan (Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer) and Kristi Eck, SUNY Oswego's Chief of Staff and Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, External Partnerships and Legislative Affairs; as well as the SUNY Oswego team of Tina Cooper (Experiential Courses and Engaged Learning), Melissa DiGiovanna (Communications & Marketing), Anneke McEvoy (Triandiflou Institute for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Transformative Practice), and Gary Morris (Career Services) for their collective leadership of and commitment to this community project.

Our added thanks to City of Oswego Mayor Billy Barlow and SUNY Oswego Officer in Charge Mary C. Toale for their support of this initiative.
