Brightspace Oswego Today Update - SIS done

Summary of Progress

• All employees and students enrolled in summer session courses can now log in to Brightspace at www.oswego.edu/mylearning.  You will use your Laker NetID and password to log in. At this time, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is not required. It is expected that the technology updates needed for MFA to work with Brightspace will be completed on June 13.
• All courses being taught in Brightspace during summer session now have the latest student enrollments.  Students will not see any courses until faculty have activated them in Brightspace.  
• The Brightspace integration of fall courses and enrollments is still a work in progress.  Our team is tirelessly working towards resolution of the last few remaining issues. Our goal is to complete the work by Friday, May 27.  Once we are operational, we will send another update when it is completed.

Notes for students taking summer session courses:

1. Some summer courses are being taught in Brightspace while others will continue to be taught in Blackboard. To help with any confusion, you will be able to see all your summer courses in Blackboard including those being taught in Brightspace. Once you click on a Brightspace course in Blackboard, you will automatically be taken to Brightspace. You can also log in to Brightspace directly at www.oswego.edu/mylearning.

2. The SUNY Center for Professional Development (SUNY CPD) is working on Brightspace training specifically for students. When it becomes available, we will be sure to share it.  In the meantime, you can review the Brightspace navigation video to get a sense of how you will use it.
