Research

The research of my group focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie embryonic development. Using chick and turtle embryos we study the genetic basis by which form and structure are regulated during vertebrate development. We are particularly interested in the signals that control cell fate decisions.

Specialty areas:

  • developmental biology
  • cellular and molecular embryology
  • gene expression and morphogenesis
  • organismic and evolutionary biology
