Majors and Minors

After completing introductory core courses, students and professors work together to design a program of additional courses to fit student’s professional career interests. Careful selection of electives, research courses, internships, and cognates can be used to prepare students for careers, graduate studies, or training at professional schools including medicine, dentistry, and veterinary medicine.

Biology

The biology minor provides an opportunity for students majoring in another department to gain experience in the field and may be appropriate for students in a wide range of fields. In addition to natural science majors, the minor may appeal to art majors interested in biological illustration, English majors interested in technical writing, psychology majors interested in behavior, or pre-law students interested in environmental or biotechnology issues.
