This microcredential provides a focused foundation in driver and safety education for individuals seeking New York State certification. Designed for educators and professionals interested in teaching driver education, it builds knowledge in safety education, classroom instruction, and in-car teaching practices. Coursework develops the specialized skills and state-recognized qualifications needed to lead driver education programs while also expanding professional opportunities in schools and community settings.

Students with a bachelor’s degree and valid secondary teacher certification.
